What is your process for identifying and assessing the extent of fire, smoke, water, and mold damage?
In most cases, the technician determines process, tools needed, and course of action after he or she assesses the damage. The general process is: extraction, drying, cutting, and clean up, however, the exact process varies by damage type and by job site. Our technicians create individualized rehabilitation plans for each client so that our customers always receive specialized service and a tailored approach.
How do you ensure that all mold is safely and completely removed?
There is a thorough process after mold is removed in which we test daily for several days after the work is completed. Customers get real-time reporting so that they see the progress along the way and have visibility into their home or office’s restoration. In general, mold grows back within 48 – 72 hours, so after we pass the 72-hour mark, the chances of mold returning are extremely low.
What is your protocol for handling hazardous materials during the restoration process?
The protection of our customers, their personal spaces, and our staff is paramount to SunTrust. When dealing with any type of hazardous materials, our technicians always wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). When necessary, an outside consultant is brought in to handle heavy-duty materials or extremely hazardous contents.
How do you handle odors caused by fire, smoke, water, and mold damage?
Odors are tricky in nature, as it is sometimes hard to pinpoint the exact location, source, or path of travel of the odor. Our machinery removes all orders within 200 square feet of the affected area so that we remove as much scent as possible. When the job is complete, and the work has been done properly, there should be no noticeable odors.
What equipment and techniques do you use for damage restoration and mold remediation?
We use a variety of meters, air movers, dehumidifiers, scent scrubbers, and other tools. Our machinery is brand new and our methodology is best-in-class, allowing us to complete each job to 100% satisfaction.
Do you offer any additional services, such as cleaning or reconstruction?
Yes, we partner with the best in Southern California and can recommend local, trusted vendors for cosmetic cleaning, construction, and architecture services. Please ask our team for referrals and we are happy to provide.
Can you work with my insurance company directly to handle the claim process?
Yes, of course. As soon as the work is completed at your home or office, we process the claims and provide all necessary documentation for processing. Some of our key providers are: Allstate, Farmers Insurance, State Farm, Chubb, Liberty Mutual, USAA, Nationwide, Erie, and Travelers.
How long does the restoration process typically take?
Depending on the type of damage and the complexity of the job, we estimate 5 – 30 days in total. Generally, it is between 2 – 3 days of active work and possible relocation needed, but for total job site repair, we aim to complete work under 30 days. Much of this time is to conduct after-work testing and monitoring of water travel (to prevent mold development) which is done with one machine and by mobile application, so our team does not need onsite access to your home or business.
